How To: VX1000 Filming Tips with Beagle - In Focus (Part 2 of 2)
- Clean up the lens from the camera and any additional lens
- Turn on the camera
- VX1000:
- Turn the power dial to Camera (left side camera)
- Set it to standby (right side camera)
- VX2100:
- Set the power to Camera (right side camera)
- VX1000:
- Set Hold / Auto lock selector to the center (auto lock release) position
- Turn on and set Custom settings
- VX1000:
- Open the backdoor
- Click on menu > Scroll down to 'Custom' > Set to ON
- Set Colour lvl and Sharpness (max -1), White balance can also be set to max
- VX2100:
- Click on the Custom Preset button on the back of the handle
- Using the scroll wheel you can turn it on and set the Colour lvl and Sharpness (max -1), White balance can also be set to max
- VX1000:
- Shutter speed
- Sun closeby: High SS (> 1000)
- Evening / when its darker: Low SS (90 <)
- Exposure
- White Balance (try to get blue sky and golden ground)
- Click the white balance button, it should start flashing on screen
- Aim towards concrete or something white
- Set the white balance by clicking on the btn under it (VX1000) or clicking on the scrollwheel (VX2100)
- Focus
- By default auto focus should be enough (use the push auto to force focus if needed)
- In some situations you can use Manual focus if theres not
- Turn off steady shot when using a Fisheye, to prevent vignette movement
- VX1000:
- Open backdoor
- Turn of the St
- VX2100:
- Click on menu button
- Scroll one down to 'Camera settings'
- Go in there and turn of Steadyshot
